At my friend's resort , MAHUA VAN where i stayed a week , this is the 'hamaam' in which water is heated for bath.
A great place to read or dream....
what a cool open air shower... this is at the CC AFRICA resort in pench.
Amazingly clean villages seem freshly painted and swept. I could live here...
Every girl child gets a pink cycle from the govt...I guess, the boys wouldn't dream of being seen on a pink cycle so the bikes are safe from them.
Great architecture! This brilliant green wouldn't look so right anywhere else
This blue either!
Women and children from villages around watch the annual bullock race from a safe spot.
My friends take pictures of the young potters at the wheel. I love the threadbare quilt getting aired and sunned and a lot else happening in this village house courtyard.
Theres me trying out my hand at controlling the oxen yoked to a 'benhur' like cart. They are on their way for the annual race.
The simple life.....I wonder if they feel lucky.I wonder if they love the woods..
a little girl in the potters' village wants to carry her own clay
theres me on the left with my friend Anu who so kindly invited me to Pench
Love wheels and love the aqua wall
a pretty girl watches us as we watch her.Just 4 or 5 generations ago i would have been standing just like her. how far we have drifted from the earth song....
so tidy! so perfect for a gossip session after all the work is done....
I was mesmerised by the poetry in motion..the way the pot rose on this manually spun wheel was like magic.
heres a painting i did in charcoal and
coffee, real coffee, for my friend...
i know i'll go back again some day.
I didn't see a tiger but i saw an
entire world of beauty and peace.
I know that those who live that life
don't think so. They think my life in the
noisy ,polluted, stressed out city is
where its at. People are never happy
with what they have. The grass on
the other side..........!!!
